Historic Building Records

ASL can provide assistance to mitigate planning requirements, as well as Listed Building Consent in connection to historic building projects on a number of levels.

The requirements placed on buildings mitigation can range from rapid impact assessments and site inspections, to more detailed archaeological surveys, and ASL can provide all of these. Once completed, such surveys will enable the applicant to make informed decisions about the future of a building and to prepare successful and considered applications. See report download page for examples.

This service includes project management and ASL will work hard to liaise between the client, the Conservation Officer and the Planning Department, as well as other professional bodies, such as the County Archaeology Team and architects, all of whom are usually part of the maze of bureaucracy, which often accompanies Listed Building developments. Please also see Desk Based Assessment page for other forms of building reports, such as Heritage Statements.
